The purpose of this web site is to display astrophotography images that I have captured from my back yard, (and sometimes the front yard), to show others who are new to the hobby that it is not that hard to capture what is displayed here. These are basic photos taken with a 10″ Meade LX200GPS and a Meade ETX125PE and using a Canon 350D or a Canon 450D. I have an equatorial wedge that is mounted to the tripod and use an Orion 80mm Short tube guide scope with a QHY5 mono as the guiding camera. Add in a 6.3 focal reducer a laptop and some free software from the web and thats about it!

Thanks Kimberly, really glad you like them. New recent additions are the total lunar eclipse and a brief trio of galaxies in a single pic. Perhaps signifying a breakfast in Madrid! All the best.

New Galaxies, star trails, lightning, DSO and nebula.
Magnifique! Love the comets and the pix of the HERSCHEL house. Want to spend more time on your site. Are we related??
Nice 👍
Thanks Margo, the Herschel house was very cool to see. I’m fairly sure we are related Mum. 🙂
Thanks Sam,
Will post some other pix soon.
